The Lawyers Club of Chicago Elects Jeffery M. Cross and R Delacy Peters, Jr.

On June 15, 2009, at the Annual Meeting of The Lawyers Club of Chicago, Freeborn & Peters LLP Partners, Jeffery M. Cross and R Delacy Peters, Jr., were elected President and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively. Mr. Cross formerly served as Vice President of the Club and, prior to that, he was a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Peters most recently served as a member of the Board of Directors.
The Lawyers Club of Chicago consists of approximately 900 judges and lawyers from the Chicago metro area. Since 1883, the Club (including its predecessors, The Law Club of Chicago and The Legal Club of Chicago) has promoted social interaction and tolerant discussions of hot topics among Chicago-area lawyers and judges. The Club meets once a month for lunch or dinner, and features a guest speaker at each meeting. Speakers in recent years have included U.S. Supreme Court Justices, appellate court judges, professors of law, elected public officials and media personalities.
