Partner Jeffrey M. Cross will speak at The Canadian Bar Association's "Competition, Crime and Punishment: The Practice, Procedure and Substance of Criminal Competition Law" seminar on the topic "Dealing with the Guilty Plea and Beyond" on Tuesday, April 29 2008 from 2:00 - 3:15 p.m.

This session will explore current Canadian and American perspectives on negotiation designed to reduce fines and follow on civil exposure.  This will include a review of recent class proceedings and developments, including damages-related issues, direct and indirect purchaser issues, settlement agreements, joint and several liability and a practical discussion of how to tackle damages calculations.
